This has to be THE most important thing I do! I feel like I am personally helping out in the war against the insurgents and giving our men and women clothing that they otherwise wouldn't get immediately. I have been in the hospital enough times to appreciate how skinny those Johhny gowns are. This should help a wounded soldier/hero feel better about the next phase of their recovery! Thank you for your service for our country so we can maintain our freedoms! Jlm

Dear Soldiers Angel's:

My name is SGT(P) Marion. I am one of 2 Senior Medics with 3rd BSTB from Fort Drum, NY. We just arrived in Afghanistan and are in the process of setting up our Battalion Aid Station. From the last group that was here, they gave us and estimate on how many trauma and injured Soldiers we were likely to see.

I was wondering if it would be possible to get some Wounded Warrior Backpacks sent here so we may distribute them out to Soldiers that arrive to us in MEDEVAC or CASEVAC and will require to stay at our FOB for a period of time and won't have any items.

If you need to know where I got your information, my husband, SPC Timothy Plaisted of 543rd MP Company was wounded in Iraq last year. He received a blanket and a backpack from your organization and it made him feel so warm inside. We still have his blanket to this day in our living room. He sleeps with it often on the couch and I must say that it is quite warm too! It is wonderful to see the effort and support that you all have provided these Wounded Warriors.

Thank You again!

SGT(P) Amanda Helena Elizabeth Marion-Plaisted
Combat Medic, USA
3rd BSTB Medical NCO

When my husband was wounded in Iraq he received a backpack from Soldiers' Angels. He told me he was shocked and excited because he had absolutely nothing with him except the clothes on his back which they cut off. It had everything in there that he needed. It is such a wonderful thought and idea that I didn't even know existed until he told me about it. After hearing that my husband's family and myself have donated one. I would just like to say thank you.
